Dinner Party

Strings of Elegance had a unique opportunity to play for the Tanner Lectures Board Dinner, a gathering of presidents from several universities, including Stanford, Yale, Princeton, and Harvard. What an honor to play for such a prestigious group! The president of University of Utah expressed "we enjoyed your wide variety of music, from Beethoven to Beatles."

Chapel Wedding Ceremony

 This traditional ceremony was a perfect representation of a classic chapel wedding at the White Memorial Chapel in SLC

We played prelude music as guests were being seated, Canon in D for the wedding line, Bridal Chorus for the bridal procession, and Wedding March for the recessional following the ceremony.

Snow Basin Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour

Our Bride requested "All of Me" by John Legend for the wedding line processional and "All You Need is Love" by The Beatles for the recessional. It is with requests like these that keep each wedding ceremony we play for unique and exciting!

During the cocktail hour, while the new Mr. and Mrs. took pictures, we played a combination of both classical and contemporary music. 

 On our way out we couldn't help but take advantage of the fun picture opportunities!

Mother's Day Tea Party

 Our quartet was asked to play for a Mother's Day Tea Party!

We played a nice variety of background music, 

perfectly suited for this female affair. 

Company Christmas Party at Snow Basin

In December we played for a Company Christmas Party up in the mountains. A former couple who's wedding we played for many years prior both work for the company and highly recommended us for the event; it was fun to see them again still happily married many years later. We performed lovely arrangements of traditional holiday carols. Thanks to Abbie and Tara for subbing. We look forward to sharing our string quartet music at many more events to come in 2016!

Gondola ride back down the mountain... we've done this many times before for other events (many of them being weddings) but this was our first time in the dark of night in the middle of snowy winter

 The couple made a special request for La Vie en Rose for the wedding party processional and for the bride's walk down the isle: Journey's Don't Stop Believin'

In keeping with our tradition when we play up the mountain in park city, we rode the Alpine Slide back down!
